Teacher Empowering Program (TEP)

Teacher Empowering Program alias TEP is designed to help an individual to enhance competency as a teacher and understand the role of teacher/facilitator and portfolio. TEP would be an intensive full time programme designed study closely assembled with the theory and practical approach to pre-primary and primary education which is aligned with all the curriculum frameworks (CBSE, ICSE, and IB-PYP). The course would guide an individual to evolve as a competent Teacher/Facilitator by understanding

  • Successive phases of child development
  • Formative brain development powers of the child that leads to all-round development
  • Modes and theories of learning
  • Create and build a culture of learning in the classroom and collate

Course Structure

Demonstrative Presentations

Demonstrative presentations comprise of sharing insights about the do’s and don’ts as a teacher, real life experiences and teaching aids offered to children till age 10. Teaching aids details about

the purpose of giving the material, technique of presenting them to the child and the age at which they must be offered.

Supervised Practice

Scheduled hours would be assigned to practice with the teaching aids while having demo sessions. These will be evaluated and guided in the use of the materials and encourage to develop and practice the techniques.

Self-Evaluation & Reflection

Submission of written work, material making assignments, discussion forums between the learners/trainees and observation reports will be included at regular intervals during the course.

Medium Of Communication

Communication mode would be in English. Course work will need to be presented in English both orally and in writing. Comprehensive lecture and case studies with different persona are designed.

Duration & Mode

Online
  • Timeline of the course is 8 weeks, covering 4 modules. Weekly 4-5 hours (at your ease) should be spent in reading the content and completing the assignments given every week.
  • Assignments will be given after every demonstrative presentations with specific instructions and the same has to be submitted on or before assigned timings.

Offline
  • Depends on the need of individual learner, offline sessions would be held here in our office at Cochin that would focus upon demo presentations of classroom practices with teaching aids.
